Shipping & Fulfillment Team Lead

We have a full-time opportunity available for a highly driven, dynamic and organized Shipping & Fulfillment Team Lead to support our constantly evolving eCommerce business.

The Shipping & Fulfillment Team Lead will manage the entire order fulfillment process including picking and packing orders, purchasing postage, optimizing packaging, negotiating shipping rates, improving systems, as well as overseeing the functions of individual team members. With a focus on results, they will drive progress ensuring timely processing of orders, while collaborating closely with the team to initiate process improvement and innovation within our company.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in running the fulfillment department smoothly.
• Conducts and/or participates in pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities, process changes and important reminders.
• Handles minor employee performance issues as required.
• Ensures orders are picked and packed as per customer specifications and are within goals of service requirements.
• Plans and handles fulfillment labor requirements.
• Communicates with the team regarding any escalations, anomalies or orders that require specific focus.
• Communicates expectations to team members and monitors the daily performance of their area.
• Ensures there is training, cross-training and development of team members.
• Ensures safe operations of the business specific to their area of accountability, while being vocal about safety concerns in other areas.
• Focuses on process improvement that will drive efficiency, quality, safety and reduction of waste.
• Creates a positive yet productive and safe work environment.

About you:

Graduate of any business management course

• 1 - 3 years of relevant leadership experience in small or startup companies
• Willing to start as Order Fulfillment Associate to determine suitability for the supervisory role
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and able to multitask effectively, able to prioritize and adapt to changes in a quick moving industry
• Good communication skills when dealing with customers and within a team environment
• Creative and strategic problem-solving skills combined with sound judgment.
• Strong Leadership skills
• Have a strong sense of urgency·
