Backend Developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Designing a well-built, well-tested, reliable and solid backend code
• Working on a product-based environment to improve solutions
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Maintain code libraries, versions, and documentation
• Working closely with technical/non-technical peers
• Bug-fixing as required
• Integrating eCommerce platforms with PIM and ERP systems, applying new merchandisingvtechnologies – rethinking eCommerce, basically

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a back-end developer.
• CakePHP and/or Laravel PHP Framework Proficiency
• Understanding the fully synchronous behavior of PHP MariaDB, SQL,
• Experience with technologies including OAuth2, API Gateway, MVC
• Proven experience with hands-on coding whilst simultaneously designing system architecture
• High attention to detail and thinking critically
• A willing collaborator and willing to wear multiple hats
• An advocate of agile methodologies
• Excellent communicator
• Is familiar with the modern PHP ecosystem (7.x features, Composer, etc.)
• Has a preference for our tech stack
• Has solid experience with ORMs and RDBMS
• Is competent using git and issue trackers in team workflows
• Knowledge of specific languages, such as PHP and Python
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools
• Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently or with a group
• Ability to organize your day and your deadlines
