Return it. Clothes are a massive consumer of natural resources. One year's cotton crop uses enough water to hydrate populations of China and India combined for 42 years!!. Clothes also use significant amounts of energy. With fast fashion the number of times a piece of clothing is worn has declined. So efficiency in using natural resources has also declined. One way to deal with this challenge is to decouple revenue and production. How do we do that? With circular business models - rental, repair, recycle. Tutsum is in the rental model. We have now launched a pilot in Mumbai, India. India is extremely challenged by water. It has 18% of the world's population but only 4% of water. So finding ways to improve water use efficiency is critical. Tutsum's long term vision is to become the Amazon for rentals. People have so much value locked up in their cupboards but no way to release it. That expensive camera you bought for a holiday and never used again. Those skis. Binoculars. All this stuff can be rented to create value for the owners and reduce manufacturing for the planet. That is Tutsum.
