Toto is a communication+payment network in the form of a smartphone app that turns the cost of servicing customers in banks into new revenue opportunities for merchants who serve our users. We will partner with regional banks and credit unions that have a vested interest in serving low-income and underbanked communities to enable our merchants to provide basic services to their customers, such as electronic payments, depositing and withdrawing money from their Toto accounts, and even check cashing. This will alleviate the burden of service from banks and provide additional foot-traffic (and thus revenue) for partnered merchants. Our solution will remove the various costs associated with handling cash for our app’s end users, which are consumers and merchants alike. When it comes to cashing checks, consumers will no longer be subject to predatory fees and enabling merchants to offer this service in-house will result in higher foot traffic, leading to additional revenue opportunities.
