Tinder is the largest social discovery platform in the world. Tinder was launched to address the social and physical barriers of forming new friendships and relationships. Using social data, Tinder anonymously finds people nearby that like each other and connects them if they are both interested.

Tinder was founded in 2012 by Sean Rad who was later joined by Jonathan Badeen, Chris Gulczynski, Alexa Mateen, Ryan Ogle, Justin Mateen and Whitney Wolfe.

Tinder was the highest grossing app on Apple's app store In 2017.
