Stitch is the world’s leading companionship and activity site for older adults.

As we age, our social circles inevitably shrink, driven by divorce, illness, relocation and death. This means those over 50 face a constant battle to stay socially connected, while at the same time loneliness is worse for a senior’s health than obesity or smoking. Someone who is over 60 and lonely is 45% more likely to die in the next 12 months, and 64% more likely to develop dementia, than someone with good social connections. The US Surgeon General now says loneliness has as big a health impact as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.

Many older adults have lots of things they want to do, but nobody to do them with. Stitch meets this need with a unique and vibrant social network with the ability to meet other like-minded people through member-driven group activities, interest groups, discussions, and one-on-one companionship.
