SRISTI Innovations is a non-profit company under section 25, one of the institutions of the Honey Bee Network (HBN), created to support the grassroots innovators for the production and marketing with the objective of strengthening the capacity of grassroots inventors, innovators and ecopreneurs in the area of conserving biodiversity and developing eco-friendly solution to local problems. We have a huge pool of innovations covering technology, education, culture, institutions, traditional knowledge and other areas. Having a database of the largest pool of innovations and having developed instruments to take innovations ahead, we are a unique institution in India to incubate ideas and innovations at different stages. About SRISTI Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions (SRISTI) is a voluntary development organization aiming to solve local challenges in the society by strengthening the creativity of grassroots communities and individual innovators. It supports eco-friendly solutions to local problems being scouted, spawned and spread by the Honey Bee Network for over 26 years. It also nurtures ecopreneurs engaged in conserving biodiversity, common property resources, cultural diversity and educational innovators. Helped in setting up GIAN (Gujarat Grassroots Innovations Augmentation Network) in 1997 in collaboration with the Govt. of Gujarat and NIF with the support from DST, Govt. of India Joint initiatives with IDRC, World Bank, ILO, USAID, UNICEF, IIT Bombay, Swinburne University Australia and others
