FloBio has created a diagnostic to characterize the behavior of blood flow in real time and with high accuracy. Currently no system exists to accurately characterize blood flow, such as clotting behavior, quickly and accurately. The FloBio diagnostic uses microfluidics to analyze blood flow information in an actual flow environment, which current products do not do. They have made the diagnostic process easy by reducing the steps to produce data without requiring high levels of training, and in a miniaturized bedside device. This allows rapid, accurate, information on a patients blood flow to administer the correct medications and procedures during trauma and various surgeries.
