Culture and benefits at Spruce Health
Culture overview
How We Work Even prior to the pandemic, Spruce embraced remote and flexible work arrangements. With flexibility and autonomy comes high expectations for being a self-starter who takes a sense of ownership & accountability for one’s work and sphere of control. Coordination of work occurs across a suite of today’s tools that include Slack for communication, heavy use of Google Docs for memos and memorializing key information, Asana for project management and task tracking, our own product for customer communication, and more. If you don’t already have experience with these tools, a fast, self-driven ramp-up is expected. We try to minimize unnecessary meetings and in turn expect preparation and an effective, concise written reporting out on weekly impact and points of coordination with other functions. A high degree of concern for the success of customers is a strong prerequisite, as is a strong work ethic, a good communication toolkit, and a collaborative approach. As with any changing and growing organization (particularly in a remote work arrangement), proactiveness and self-management in the face of ambiguity are also critical. It’s particularly critical that you have or quickly gain a strong depth of knowledge on the Spruce product since it’s the core service we provide.
