SkySpecs optimizes wind farm operations and maintenance through the use of autonomous robotics, data analytics, and machine learning. Wind farms have significant costs for unplanned maintenance and downtime, resulting in a loss of energy generation and revenue. SkySpecs has developed a platform called Horizon that manages the entire blade inspection and repair process. SkySpecs completely autonomous drones collect repeatable, measurable images of all four sides of all three blades in a single flight with no human input or operation. This data is processed through Horizon and a team of blade experts help prioritize repair planning with farm operators. In 2.5 years, SkySpecs has inspected over 26,000 wind turbines in 17 countries.
