Care coordination platform that networks senior care providers and their client
Serenity is at the heart of family and care team collaboration.

As the adult children who are taking care of their elderly parents are more often of GenX or later, we expect to have transparency, access to the care team, and to communicate via text. The current communication model for senior living is phone tag, mass communications, and email threads with generic emails such as "[email protected]."

The COVID-19 pandemic has created steep demand for electronic communication between care teams and family who are unable to visit during lockdowns that could last 1-5 months. The need for this type of communication will not subside when the pandemic subsides. Rather, this is the beginning of a sea change as communities report knowing they needed to do this but didn't have a sense of urgency previously.

We are a HIPAA-compliant communication platform for senior living centers to increase staff, provider, and family collaboration. When care teams and family work together, our seniors have reduced isolation and depression, and increased quality of life. Today, senior care facilities, hospice, pharmacies and healthcare providers do not communicate with each other, nor do they communicate very well with family members. This results in wasted time, poor health outcomes, and increased lawsuits.

As family, we have access to our daycare providers and get updates about our children through solutions like BrightWheel, and we know when a dog walker took our dog out, but we have no insight into our cherished parents' or spouse's lives if we can't physically be there.

Lastly, but not least important, two insurance providers have stated they will give premium discounts to long-term care communities using Serenity as a means of mitigating the massive costs associated with lawsuits that are often related to lack of communication with family.
