SensOR Medical careers

Medical error is now the third leading cause of death, after only cancer and heart disease, and affects 1.3M people each year and kills 270k in Canada and the US alone. 12% of these errors are caused by applying too much or too little force in surgery. SensOR provides a digital sense of touch in minimally invasive and robotic surgery to improve surgical precision and reduce this medical error. This digital sense of touch is provided by ForceFilm: our first-in-the-world force-sensing film that can be added-on to any make or model of minimally invasive or robotic surgical instrument without changing the surgical or hospital workflow.
