We are looking for a full stack engineer with 4+ years of experience. This is a contract to hire/ contract to co-found role. We are willing to pay $12k-$24K for an 8 week contract at which point, we will conduct a two-way evaluation. Ability to travel to HI (on us) is a plus. We are not looking for specific frameworks, skill sets, and experiences. Above all else, we value folks who want to make a real customer impact by building great software. As a core contributor, you will play a key role in translating and defining our product vision into reality and shaping our early engineering culture, processes, and priorities. Responsibilities include significant product development and evolving our approach to both frontend and backend infrastructure. Responsibilities: - Make Key Decisions: You'll make crucial decisions on tech stack, architecture, and processes. Your choices will shape the future of our product. - Lead and Inspire: As a Tech Lead, you'll guide your team through the development process, inspire them to do their best work, and foster a culture of innovation and excellence. - Hands-On Coding: You'll be in the trenches coding with your team. You'll follow the best coding practices, keeping scalability, security, and privacy in mind to deliver clean, high-quality code. - Collaborate Across Teams: You'll collaborate closely with other company teams, including product, design, and marketing, to ensure we're all moving in the same direction. - Drive Continuous Improvement: You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities for process and technical improvements and implementing them. - Customer Focus: You'll keep our customers at the forefront of your mind, working to deliver the best possible product to meet their needs. - Shape our early engineering culture, help grow and build the rest of the early team. - Review code written by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g. code testing, style guidelines, code efficiency)
