Our mission is to become the world’s preferred supplier of 5D Scene Reconstruction and Processing Engines for devices like smartphones. Quidient Scene Processing Engines (QSP) record 3D geometry, materiality and 2D light flowing in Quotidian (everyday) scenes. Currently, no scene reconstruction technology can effectively reconstruct most Quotidian scenes. These scenes include complex materials (e.g., textureless materials and shiny, transmissive, finely structured objects, to be reconstructed within boundless scenes). This important limitation blocks several transformational applications from being developed and creates a severe price/performance bottleneck in the market. The QSP Engine overcomes these critical limitations in an affordable, highly accurate, low-power and miniature-size new approach combining four convergent technologies: Light Field Physics, novel 5D Database Technology, Spatial Hardware Acceleration (SPU) and Polarimetric Imaging to reconstruct scenes of virtually unlimited detail (SUDs).
