ONI crafts beautiful microscopes capable of detecting individual fluorescent molecules. This exquisite sensitivity is used to create images and videos of suitably labelled, living biological matter with one order of magnitude higher resolution than what is achievable by conventional, diffraction-limited imaging. The company spun out from the laboratory of Professor Achilles Kapanidis at Oxford Physics, a world-leading expert on single-molecule microscopy. ONI has since attracted a significant amount of funding that enables us to pursue the most ambitious projects.
