The collection procedure can be performed on any adult (subject to safety criteria) without the need for any type of bowel preparation or anaesthesia. It can be conducted by any clinical professional trained in proctoscopy.

The Oricol™ device is CE marked and the procedure is completely safe. The device has been successfully used on approaching 5,000 subjects worldwide with no adverse events reported – and very few reports of significant discomfort.

Oricol™ samples are at least 50,000 times richer in biomarkers than the leading alternative method, stool sampling. In addition, the potential to contaminate the sample is extremely low. This means that diagnostics based on Oricol™ samples are highly accurate.
