People at Nook Savings

The team behind Nook includes Joey Isaacson, Sohail Khanifar, and Kenzan Boo, designers and engineers with deep crypto and fintech experience at Coinbase, including Coinbase Wallet, DeFi integrations, and experimental lending tools. The founding team first worked together on Coinbase’s DeFi lending pilot in 2021, which was soft-launched to over 100 million users. It grew to 200,000 active users and over $50 million in deposits before sunset due to regulatory pressure from the SEC in late 2022.
