NeuroLight careers
NeuroLight, a medical device startup, is developing a groundbreaking technology to transplant brain states from one person to another using neuromodulation and brain entrainment for better sleep, improved cognition, and much more. Brain states include sleep, wakefulness, relaxation, hyperfocus, state of flow, and altered states of consciousness. All brain states have cortical signatures—brainwave patterns that represent the rhythmic activity of the brain. Just as music can be recorded and replayed, evidence suggests the brainwaves—the music of the brain—can likewise be recorded in one person’s brain and replayed in another person’s brain. Insomnia is the first problem we are tackling with the anticipated launch of NeuroMask(TM), which uses pulsating light emitted by the LEDs embedded in the sleeping mask and synchronized sound bursts emitted through embedded earphones for sensory brain stimulation to induce sleep. However, our technology has potentially far-reaching applications, including potential treatment of mood disorders, improving concentration and learning, enhancing emotional response in online games and virtual reality, and more.
