Nautilus Defense is a global leader in the development and production of multifunctional textile systems. Nautilus’ novel multifunctional braided composite yarns enable the integration of electrical, electronic, and electromagnetic capabilities into traditional fiber and fiber-reinforced materials. With a focus on rapid experimental development, Nautilus produces novel, dual-use textile-integrated systems for a broad range of markets while maintaining a focus on mission-critical solutions for its Department of Defense customers.

Current development, prototyping, and production efforts include deployable textile-integrated sensor arrays, embeddable strain and temperature monitoring textiles, wearable kinematic monitoring systems, fiber optic microtethers, and garment-integrated power and data networks for Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, and commercial customers. Nautilus is actively engaged in several joint development efforts with academia and commercial partners serving the consumer electronics, medical, athletic, education, and aerospace markets. Nautilus is actively developing methods and machinery to enable robotic production of these and other systems at scale.
