At MathBRIX, we strive to make math accessible for all kids through our fun online math games and puzzles. We're a small, quickly growing startup, and so we've got a ton of cool ideas we want to execute, but not enough people to build them...which is where you come in! We're looking for a developer who loves crafting both backend APIs and user-facing web apps and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We all know that for the US to remain a world economic leader, all children must be able to think mathematically and problem-solve. Those behind in kindergarten rarely catch up by third grade – and the majority of these children are girls or from low-income families. In 2015, only 25% of U.S. 12th grade students scored as proficient or above on national math assessments. It is both alarming and unacceptable that 75% of our children might not be to compete for high paying jobs of the future when much of the problem can be diminished with early intervention. That's just not good enough for our country, our state and our St. Louis region!
