"At Lastmore, we're building active food-packaging technology, humidity-responsive, antimicrobial, and oxygen-managing inserts for commercial bakeries, and we hire for two kinds of roles right now. R&D roles: We're looking for people with a background in biotechnology, materials science, or food science who want hands-on lab work, formulation development, shelf-life testing, and packaging science, not just theory. You'll work directly on the core technology, from bench experiments to bakery pilot testing, alongside our founder. Marketing & finance roles: We're looking for someone who can help translate a deep-tech product into a business, building go-to-market plans, managing early customer relationships with bakeries, and handling financial planning and fundraising support as we scale from pilot to commercial supply. In both cases, we're a small, early-stage team, you'll have direct ownership over your area of work and see the tangible results of what you build, not sit several layers removed from outcomes. We value curiosity, willingness to get into the technical or commercial details, and comfort with the pace and ambiguity of an early-stage startup."
