We’re a growing, fast-paced, socially minded startup. We have built a web app, which allows teachers to track attendance and instantly communicate data via text, email, and phone with the key people in a student’s life. Co-founders, Miriam Altman and Alex Meis, started Kinvolved in 2012 while they were graduate students at NYU. Miriam is a former educator by way of Teach For America, and also enjoys mentoring students in the Social Innovation Initiative at Brown University. Alex formerly advocated for parents of children with special needs in the Bronx, and is also a World Economic Forum Global Shaper. They were recently named to the 2015 Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list, a group of the most influential leaders in education today.  Kevin McAlear, lead engineer, is pretty awesome, too. In addition to working at Kinvolved he is an Expert in Residence at General Assembly, and built a cool product, Hater News in his free time.  We work hard, have fun, and are making a positive impact on society with our technology.
