Codeable friendship bracelets + community
Jewelbots are codeable friendship bracelets that helps kids teach themselves to code. The bracelets connect to each other over Bluetooth, and work right out of the box. No coding is required to play with them, but the really fun part comes when kids can create their own custom functionality for their Jewelbots using the free Aruduino software interface. Jewelbots uses social play to appeal to an audience that might not otherwise be interested in coding.

90% of parents want their kids to learn coding, but only 40% of high schools offer computer science. 71% of all new jobs in STEM are in computing. Currently, only 8% of STEM graduates are in computer science. To compete in the economy of the future, kids will need to be at least literate in code. (Source: code.org)
