Karya careers

Given the global push toward a digital future, our focus currently is on paid digital work, particularly language-based digital work. Most people in rural communities are capable of reading, speaking, and with minimal training, even typing in their local language. These skills are useful in building and enriching large language datasets that can in turn be used to build language technologies for regional languages. To this end, our main product is a crowdsourcing platform that offers paid digital work to people in rural and other low-income communities in a manner that is accessible to those people. So far, the Karya platform has been used to complete over 2 million digital tasks.
