The underlying idea is to use data collected from sensors on industrial machines, analyse this data with the help of Machine Learning (ML) and provide valuable insights to manufacturers and insurance companies. This is achieved with a help of a digital platform, to which manufacturers can connect their machines to and receive insights that allow them to increase efficiency, reliability and safety of industrial machines and thus decrease costs from downtime and increase asset lifetime. Insurers on the other hand can obtain analytical insights on the risk of their client’s machinery and/or provide the platform via licensing to their clients. This will help insurers to decrease their loss and expense ratio, thus giving them the possibility to increase margin and compete on pricing.
