We facilitate product design 'jam' sessions that focus on creating product options for customers to select the one that solves their problem the best, then having the option to buy out that product to own it and own the rights to build on it within your own company or to have the team that created it, help to build it out into a full functioning product. The product design not only 'designs' the product in the traditional sense by creating mock ups for engineers to build from, but also, the operational design, with instructions on what is needed to support and maintain the product, along with what you need to go to market with it, what target markets to serve first, with persona's and a business go to market strategy for launch. You can request as much of this or as little as needed. You can also reject the ideas and release them for use by use of the creators of the idea.
