Simon (CEO, MIT) I spent fifteen years inside large organisations as an entrepreneur and senior manager scaling transformation programmes from early discovery POCs to enterprise-wide stacks on which leading global organisation run today. The appeal of building HyperLegal was doing the same with a small group of people who can decide something on a Tuesday and have it in front of a client by Friday. Tristan (CCO, Oxford) has a PhD and practical experience in law, which means we have someone who has actually sat on the other side of an onboarding form and knows exactly how tedious it is. Jakab (COO, MOME) looks after design with a Red Dot award in his back pocket. I handle architecture, investors and the awkward conversations. Mike (MIT/Wharton), our non-executive director, spent his career as an MD at UBS, Halo and Leonteq and is very good at asking the question everyone else has been politely avoiding. We also have various high profile advisors and a DevOps team on call. What the work is actually like: we ship weekly, we demo to real firms, and the feedback is immediate and direct. Compliance is unforgiving. The rules are specific, the consequences are real, and "roughly right" is not a standard anyone in this market accepts. That constraint is the interesting part. Anyone can build a chatbot. Building an agent a partner will trust near a client's identity documents is a harder problem, and a more useful one. We are not a hustle-culture company. I have two young children and a side gig of teaching AI Transformation at MIT Professional Education that requires flexibility. People here have lives and we plan around them. What we ask instead is that you care about the detail, say so when something is wrong. If that sounds like a fair trade, get in touch.
