GraspIO designs and develops mobile enabled products to make Robotics, IoT and Electronics accessible to everyone. We want to democratize electronics and programming by making technology less technical. We envision GraspIO as a platform to bring potential makers into the world of being creators, regardless of their age, gender, technical know-how. GraspIO’s co-founder and CEO, Shanmugha embarked on his maker journey during his college days, a journey that garnered him awards and recognition aplenty. With a passion for contributing to the budding Makers ecosystem and sharing his knowledge, he began organising Maker workshops at various educational institutions in the country. That’s where he met his co-founder Kishore, an avid maker who shared his love and passion for Making and knowledge sharing. In the course of their interaction with students, they saw how the lack of a technical background and a perceived fear of complexity and difficulty, often intimidated prospective Makers. With a resolve to change this status quo, their first endeavour, a mobile robot, brought about an important realisation that they didn’t want to restrict users’ creativity by virtue of the limitations of the functionalities of the robot. And that is how GraspIO was born. Their brainchild, GraspIO, is a mobile based technology platform with an intuitive, easy to use Graphical Interface for programming electronics. With their foray into the world of Making, they dream of being enablers for a revolution in the DIY and Maker community. What was started with 2 members is now a top notch team of 20, having expertise in Design, Software and Hardware with 60+ years of product development experience.
