Leveraging Photonics, Genetoo Inc. has developed a prototype able to reduce by up to 99.6 % the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria within prosthetic implants, without the need for antibiotics. Genetoo Inc. is actively working to further develop and offer to the healthcare system, and ultimately to patients, a new class of materials able to prevent the development of bacterial infections. Genetoo Inc. laser-based core technology has been licensed from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and has protected market exclusivity for key applications, such as dental implants, orthopedic implants, cardiac implants, brain implants, all implants with an electric and/or electronic component, and endoscopic devices. Genetoo Inc. also has an active collaboration with the NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate, through an executed Space Act Agreement (SAA). By combining laser-based technology and artificial intelligence, Genetoo Inc. is able to develop and offer a simple, flexible, versatile and scalable advanced manufacturing process for infection-resistant medical implants, aiming to reduce costs and development time.
