We are developing an online service for SMEs who have exposure to foreign exchange (FX) risks. For example a European SME is building a new machine for a US company, so they get paid 100.000 Dollar in 6 months. If the US Dollar in Euro changes, e.g. from .85 USD/EUR to .95 USD/EUR, the European SME might lose a substantial amount of revenue.

There are legacy services from traditional banks for hedging currency risks. They are, however, quite complicated to use, need a lot of time and target mostly bigger SMEs. Clients need to go to banks’ branches and discuss their hedging needs in person.

Forexfix offers an easy-to-use hedging completely via the Internet. It’s as easy and quick as buying a flight ticket online. A client just needs to enter four basic input values and gets instantly a concrete offer for hedging his or her FX risk.
