Elder falls can KILL! Over 28,000 people age 65+ die each years from falls and approximately 1 in 4 will suffer a fall event. Falls can become horrible tragedies when help is not immediately available. Standard Personal Emergency Response Systems (PERS) have existed for decades as "help buttons" or lanyards that are not always worn by Elders. FallCall Solutions wanted to create something new that combines the features of PERS with the ability to download on Apple Watch & iPhone, voice activation, enhanced communication with caregivers during emergencies, and eventually, ‘Smart’ fall detection with machine learning. Our app, FallCall Lite, will be the first innovation of its kind in this space.
