At Eloquent Labs, one of our core cultural beliefs is that in the face of challenging problems, the best thing you can do is get smarter. We recognize that we ask our employees to solve really difficult challenges across a broad range of disciplines, and so it’s ok (in fact, encouraged) to say “I don’t know” if you’re willing to follow that up with the hard work of learning something new. Our founders have watched how this culture made Stanford’s natural language processing (NLP) lab the best in the world, and are carrying that over to Eloquent Labs. Eloquent Labs’ founders graduated from the Stanford NLP lab after years of research in the field, and have leading figures in NLP and human-computer interaction on their advisory board and as investors. We think we have something to teach, especially around NLP and machine learning. In turn, we’re looking for new employees who have complementary skills to teach us and complementary expertise to bake into the product.
