Our team is one of problem solvers and solution builders. You may work on an existing product or champion your own. We started with a problem, which is that data is usually scarce, hard to get, or simply terrible in presumed “high-risk” countries, which perpetuates a cycle of financial exclusion, accountability-shifting and general stigmatisation. Information compilation is expensive in those countries. And that's why Google can't correctly place villages on a map, let alone verify the impact of a child support program find out the local price of cement. We have now built the platform to solve this problem, with our vision to establish a marketplace for a global audience to connect with consistent, triangulated data held locally. We build our own products on top of the platform, to support digitisation in typically data-starved communities. We also work with public and private sector partners to build their own, Datastake-powered software, or connect to the platform via API. Our open positions are for genuine entrepreneurs.
