Datastake careers

Datastake is a data Ecosystem to expand access to information in data-starved / weak-governance countries.

The way this is achieved is through combination of:
- A Platform (Data As A Commodity - DAAC) extending the value chain of existing information, through standard, granular mapping of open data, and fine-grained privacy/sovereignty permissions for information stranded in private databases:
- Developing Knowledge Management Applications to support structured digitisation of local information, while providing direct utility to their users. These applications are intended for expanding potential data supply on the Platform.

Thus, Datastake facilitates the exchange of information between siloed databases, organisations, projects and sectors. Our hypothesis is that this will make information more abundant in target countries, and increase its reliability through triangulation.

The target, long-term business model is that of a data marketplace (e.g. transactional). However, in the short-term, there are two ways to bootstrap the expansion of our ecosystem:
- Licensed access to Platform features (e.g. subscription)
- Map your data (assess its notional value)
- Discover, access / acquire relevant data from other sources
- Identify broader audience / additional clients for your own data
- Securely exchange information
- Development of custom applications, whether private or public, to help organisations active in target countries improve their performance, raise their profile, attract investment or funding
