Cobalt is a B2B marketplace connecting brands and suppliers based in the Americas (U.S., Canada, Mexico)

In the last decade, independent brands ($2.2T) have exploded as part of the U.S. retail market ($4.4T) and do 2x the revenue of Walmart and Amazon combined. Brands need products to sell and LOTS of them.

Sourcing has traditionally come from China via Alibaba, but price increases (labor costs, shipping costs, trade war), shipment delays (port congestion, COVID lockdowns, container shortages), and barrier to entry (language barrier, long distance, IP theft) has made importing from China near impossible.

By default, brands need to reshore their supply-chain to Americas AND fast. Unfortunately, America's suppliers are still operating like it's the 90's. With a 6 NPS for the industry and high friction from offline & manual, product catalogs buried in PDFs, and zero transparency (pricing and inventory) brands have a challenging time working with America's suppliers.

Cobalt solves this challenge by giving brands an easy way to discover, customize, and order products. For suppliers, we brought their storefronts online, digitized their products catalogs, and easily manage their customers and orders.
