CheckSee is the combination of a social network and a daily photo sharing contest. There isn’t another app where users can simultaneously stay connected with their school/friends and participate in a lighthearted game with their peers. We are working to create an app that eliminates the stress and anxiety associated with other social media experiences, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat. CheckSee users share pictures with their school rather than having friends/followers. There are also no like counts displayed on posts, and each schools’ pictures are removed daily to avoid “creeping” and judging a user based on their previous posts. These differentiations will help solve users’ “follower anxiety” and “like-count anxiety”.
