Our market opportunity is huge ($2 billion annually for our MVP alone, then balloons from there) and our competition is fragmented. Customers have low expectations from the current market offerings and having even lower expectations on their energy buying experiences. We distinguish ourselves in this market by using technology and data science to inform how businesses procure and use energy. We identify the optimal times to lock in energy contracts, suggest business-specific opportunities for efficiency-related capital investments, and capacity-event usage reductions to lower any business' energy costs. We value building as a method of learning and leverage data whenever possible to inform decisions. I have worked with Exelon over the last decade to create an environment with the freedom and agility of a startup, but the ability to attract resources from Exelon as needed. This gives us the opportunity to pull in enterprise architects, data scientists, industry experts, and entrepreneurs.
