Brave has created a digital supervised consumption platform for people who use drugs alone and in isolation and is rolling out a suite of tools so that people may be monitored for safety while they use. The suite of tools includes: 1) a mobile app for facilitating remote supervision and overdose response by volunteers and emergency services, 2) internet-enabled safety buttons for shelters, supported housing, workplaces, bathrooms and alleyways, 3) digital monitoring tools to detect the physiological signs of an overdose before it happens and alert the response community. Brave works with healthcare and social service providers, municipalities, and housing operators to co-design and implement digital solutions that work to keep their constituents safe.
