Blip Energy careers
Blip unlocks energy equity by solving for accessibility, building a new category of smart, affordable energy storage to add millions of homes to the smart grid. A hybrid hardware/software solution for energy management that works in any home without barriers around permitting and installation.
Power outages across the U.S. cost $150B annually, and on average 500K Americans lose power daily without backup solutions. Most home energy systems on the market today are prohibitively expensive, and require costly professional installation. Diesel generators provide a more cost-effective emergency power solution, but these motors are dirty, loud, and require backyard space and access to the breaker box. Renters, and residents of multi-unit buildings are unserved by existing energy solutions, and even homeowners lack affordable, flexible options that they are willing to purchase and install. Millions of households experience power outages without any options to keep the lights on. This also means, there are millions of homes which could be tapped as nodes in the smart grid to provide Demand Response relief and build a better, smarter grid.
Blip is currently pre-revenue, has raised $1.4M to date, and now raising a $2M seed round to initiate pilot projects, achieve field validation, scale channel sales, and build our team. The Inflation Reduction Act broadens our product market fit, blipOne units will enjoy a +30% reduction in up-front cost to customer with added production tax benefits to Blip.
We raised $850k pre-seed roundBlip’s investors include a mix of angels, institutional, accelerators, and strategics (i.e. Ron Conway, LongJump, gener8tor, mHUB, Invenergy, Southern Company).
While low-income families stand to benefit the most from distributed energy resources, they also face the greatest barriers in accessing them. Blip solves the growing need for reliable energy with the lowest cost energy storage on the global battery market.
