Large construction corporations use different digital tools to control projects and processes. Many of them are obsolete and do not leverage AI. In addition, often these tools lack interoperability, making it almost impossible to perform any type of transversal analytics. Vertically integrating these solutions is not an effective approach as most large construction sites are run by consortia involving different construction companies with different core tools which they are unwilling to replace. On top of this inefficient digital ecosystem, different business processes are executed manually at a high frequency (e.g. processes to generate, review and approve documentation, non-conformities management, or contract management). When these processes are inefficient, projects suffer from significant budget overruns and delays. Available tools for risk management focus on risk assessment rather than active risk management and do not allow for continuous control as required by more and more large capital projects. Beawre solutions build upon more than 8 years of research by the founders in risk management methodologies funded by the European Union through 4 different large projects and 2 decades of research in optimization and AI techniques. This research has resulted in more than 20 granted patents with the majority being related to new AI techniques and risk management. Our solution has been validated by top-representatives of the construction industry. We are the winners of the CEMEX Startup Competition 2020, the most challenging competition for startups in the construction sector in the world. Beawre was also selected in the CEMEX 2020 Top-50 Construction Technology Startup list, as one of the most promising contech startups worldwide.
