Agile Devices aims to remove a major time bottleneck in a wide variety of catheter-based interventional procedures, resulting in improved patient outcomes and large cost savings for hospitals. Our unique variable-stiffness microcatheter accelerates interventional procedures by allowing clinicians to more rapidly navigate small, tortuous blood vessels. Patients benefit from shorter procedure times, especially in time-critical emergencies such as stroke or acute arterial bleeding. Faster procedure times also allow treatment in patients who had would have otherwise fallen outside of their therapeutic time window. Physicians are attracted to our device by the improved ease-of-use over traditional microcatheters and maintained compatibility with other interventional equipment. Hospitals benefit from lower costs per procedure, which could lead to savings of $1.8+ B/year for hospitals in the US upon complete adoption.
