So many conversations about brands happen on 3rd party websites (i.e. the sub Reddit Makeup Addiction has 4 million people). It's a miss for some of those conversations to not also happen on the brand's website. It's a gap in the marketing stack to build trust and help brands own additional data to help generate additional revenue.
