ABLE Human Motion careers

ABLE will be the first exoskeleton specially designed for the upcoming home-use medical exoskeleton industry. It has been built based on the research carried out by the Biomechanical Engineering Lab of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya during the last 8 years. This has led to a patented system to assist walking, that compared to existing solutions is up to 5 times smaller and up to 3 times lighter.
Its cost will be reduced up to 90% compared to existing solutions used in the clinics –which is crucial since there is no reimbursement at present, and its unique motion-based step trigger detection will allow a more natural, safe and intuitive walking –allowing the patient to use it autonomously without depending on others.
All in one, ABLE will be a game changer in the medical exoskeleton industry and will be in a unique position to set a new standard of care for assistance and rehabilitation of people with mobility impairments.
