About the job
About the job
At Cubby, we're building the future for self-storage operators.
There are more than 70,000 self-storage properties in North America, operated by 35,000+ independent business owners who provide service to tenants in times of tremendous life change. Whether moving across the country for a new job opportunity or moving on after a family death or divorce, self-storage tenants really value a high-quality renting experience. So much, in fact, that self-storage is the fastest growing asset class in commercial real estate - surpassing $50 billion annually in the U.S. last year. Investor interest is pouring in, and with it, tremendous pressure to compete at the highest level.
We're a venture funded company with a focused product team, backed by a phenomenal group of investors who've afforded us years of runway. We serve $1k – $1mm+ ACV clients, and a growing share of them run their businesses on Cubby alongside a broad ecosystem of partners - marketing agencies, websites, payments, access control, insurance, auctions, accounting, and more. Our external API and partner integrations are how all of that connects. We're seeking an Solutions Consultant to join our team, own the day-to-day relationship with our technical partners, and help turn integrations into a real growth channel for Cubby. And if you've read this far and happen to know what HTTP status code 418 means, mention it in your application - we'll know you're our kind of person.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical point of contact for Cubby's integration partners – scoping new integrations, supporting partners through build and certification, and troubleshooting when things break
- Turn partner and customer feedback into clear, prioritized scope that our Product and Engineering teams can act on
- Manage partner expectations on timelines and capabilities while working closely with Cubby's engineers on what's actually shipping and when
- Own and grow Cubby's API documentation, partner education, and integration marketing materials so partners can self-serve and customers understand what's possible
- Support Sales and Customer Success on integration questions
- Help build the partner program itself – agreement terms, co-marketing, and referral motions that drive more leads from channel partners
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience working with APIs – reading docs, testing endpoints, debugging integrations, and explaining them to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another technical field (or equivalent technical background)
- A track record of translating messy stakeholder feedback into clear, prioritized requirements
- Comfortable managing external partner relationships and holding both partners and internal teams to a plan
- Experience creating techinical documentation, education, or marketing content
- You are a self-starter. This is a Series A company where you'll have to wear a lot of hats and help create momentum
Nice to have
- Experience negotiating partner or vendor agreement terms
- Experience building programs that generate leads from channel or referral partners
- Accounting or finance experience, or familiarity with accounting integrations
- Familiarity with the self-storage industry or other property-tech
Benefits
- Medical, Vision and Dental Insurance
- 401k and/or a Basic Capital account
- Open vacation policy, with 10-day work-from-anywhere policy every year
- Free LifeTime Fitness membership
