Money Mentor is a division of CommonBond, Inc., a mission-based higher education financing company which provides student loan refinancing, origination, and employee benefits.
Money Mentor is the financial advisor for every student. Each year, the average college student graduates with $37,000 in student loan debt and yet they leave $2.7 billion in free federal aid unclaimed. Our program is powered by Money Mentor's technology and acts as your personal financial assistant, available nights and weekends (for free) over text message. We help students fill out the FAFSA, find scholarships, negotiate college tuition, develop student loan repayment plan, create customized budgets, and prepare for the future!
As an Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Money Mentor platform. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, have strong organizational skills and be enthusiastic about managing and solving problems on a daily basis.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
* Recruiting: Sourcing, interviewing and evaluating new Money Mentors.
* Onboarding: Liaising with the People Team to automate the onboarding process to comply with company, federal, city and state requirements.
* Quality Control: Monitoring text message activity to help inform weekly feedback sessions to improve Money Mentor response quality.
* Training & Development: Developing and facilitating ongoing Money Mentor technical training to improve customer engagement and satisfaction scores.
* Performance Management: Reporting on daily KPIs and providing creative solutions to improve engagement.
* Budgeting: Review metrics to inform bi-weekly payments to be submitted to payroll bi-weekly.
Desired Qualifications
* 1-2 years’ experience successfully managing a group of students & remote teams
* Experience teaching and/or mentoring students
* Navigated the higher education financing process
* Worked alongside messaging platforms
* Ability to use data to inform decision making
* Working knowledge of SQL, Looker or Periscope
* Team player – you want to be relied upon and you understand how others make your goals achievable
* Sense of urgency – you want to “go, move, make things happen, and shake things up!”
* Nimble – able to handle changing tasks and priorities and adapt quickly
* Supreme ability to organize yourself and your tasks and manage your time
* Bachelor’s degree and an objectively strong academic record
