We're Hiring: SQL Server High Availability & Disaster Recovery Specialist

We are seeking a database specialist with strong hands-on experience in SQL Server high availability, disaster recovery, enterprise performance tuning, and large-scale database operations.

This role focuses on maintaining database uptime, minimizing data loss, improving recovery readiness, and supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot SQL Server Always On availability solutions.
• Design and maintain database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Develop recovery procedures that meet defined RPO and RTO requirements.
• Perform point-in-time database recovery and validate backup integrity.
• Create, document, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor database health, capacity, storage utilization, and performance.
• Optimize T-SQL queries, indexes, and database workloads.
• Support very large databases (VLDBs) and high-volume transactional and batch-processing environments.
• Troubleshoot SQL Server and Windows Failover Cluster issues.
• Support high-availability architectures across AWS environments.
• Implement database security, encryption, auditing, and operational best practices.
• Participate in incident resolution and production support, including on-call support when required.

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on SQL Server DBA experience.
• SQL Server 2022 or later administration.
• SQL Server Always On and high-availability technologies.
• Backup, restore, point-in-time recovery, and disaster recovery.
• RPO/RTO planning and recovery testing.
• Advanced T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Windows Failover Clustering.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise database environments.

Preferred Skills

• AWS high-availability architecture and cloud storage.
• Windows Server administration and PowerShell.
• Enterprise security standards, including PUB 1075, FIPS, and PII.
• FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and application maintenance.
• Experience supporting critical production systems and 24-hour operations.
