  • The engineer will own end-to-end feature delivery across backend services, APIs, integrations, React-based experiences, cloud deployments, test automation, and migration activities while ensuring alignment with UDP architecture standards and reusable platform patterns.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years of developing enterprise-grade Java applications.
  • 3+ years delivering microservices and cloud-native solutions in complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience in large-scale commerce, retail, digital transformation, or platform migration programs.
  • Prior to exposure to Salesforce Commerce Cloud, composable commerce, headless architecture, Contentstack, Constructor Search, or comparable ecosystems is preferred.

Application modernization:

  • Transform legacy SFCC and custom business capabilities into modern Java and Spring Boot microservices.
  • Design reusable domain services for customer, catalog, pricing, order, payment, loyalty, and content capabilities.
  • Build scalable, secure REST APIs and participate in application decomposition, refactoring, and technical-debt reduction.

Front-end engineering:

  • Develop React-based composable storefront experiences using TypeScript, modern state-management patterns, and reusable components.
  • Enable brand-specific styling and customer journeys while maximizing the adoption of shared UDP services and UI components.
  • Optimize accessibility, browser compatibility, page performance, reliability, and overall customer experience.

Integration engineering:

  • Build interfaces between UDP and retained enterprise platforms, including OMS, ERP, payments, loyalty, catalog, search, and content services.
  • Develop canonical models, provider interfaces, and brand adapters that isolate system-specific behavior.
  • Implement synchronous API and event-driven integrations using Kafka or approved messaging services.

Cloud and DevOps:

  • Build containerized applications using Docker and deploy workloads to Kubernetes or OpenShift environments on AWS.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure configurations, release automation, environment validation, and operational readiness.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, distributed tracing, security controls, health checks, resiliency, and performance standards.

Migration, cutover, and quality engineering:

  • Execute data mapping, conversion, synchronization, reconciliation, migration rehearsals, cutover, and hypercare activities.
  • Create unit, component, API, integration, UI, and regression automation using JUnit, Mockito, Postman, and Playwright.
  • Investigate complex defects, complete root-cause analysis, and support rollback or roll-forward decisions during releases.
