THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play an important role in developing key platform features, including a proprietary decisioning system, robust data security for AI applications, and advanced document-parsing tools. Your work will help automate document verification, data extraction, and decision-support workflows. You will collaborate with experienced engineers in a fast-paced, product-focused environment, working with technologies such as Node.js, PostgreSQL, Python, and React. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Full Stack Development
   ● Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, GraphQL, and React.
   ● Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable application features.
   ● Develop responsive and efficient user interfaces integrated with robust backend services.

2. AI and Document Processing
   ● Build Python-based AI pipelines to automate document processing and underwriting workflows.
   ● Contribute to document verification, data extraction, and decision-support capabilities.
   ● Support the integration of AI-powered features into the core platform.

3. Collaboration and Product Development
   ● Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate user requirements into scalable, efficient code.
   ● Participate in technical discussions and contribute to feature planning and implementation.
   ● Work closely with team members to deliver high-quality product features.

4. Performance and Scalability
   ● Optimize application performance and ensure efficient data flow and real-time functionality.
   ● Identify and resolve technical issues across the application stack.
   ● Contribute to architectural decisions that support platform scalability and long-term growth.

5. Code Quality and Deployment
   ● Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and deployment.
   ● Follow software development best practices to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
   ● Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and application deployment processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
● 3+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
● Strong proficiency in Node.js and PostgreSQL, with experience in Python and hands-on experience with React.
● Experience developing and maintaining full-stack web applications.
● Strong understanding of backend development, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database design.
● Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
● Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
● Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
● Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
● Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
● Familiarity with GraphQL and scalable application architectures.
● Experience integrating AI capabilities into software applications.
● Exposure to document processing, financial technology, or automated underwriting workflows.
