Armed Security Guard

Patrol Guard Security Services (PGSS) is seeking professional, dependable, and qualified Armed Security Guards to provide security services throughout the Denver metropolitan area and surrounding Colorado communities.

Armed Security Guards are responsible for protecting people, property, and facilities while maintaining a professional presence. Officers are expected to demonstrate sound judgment, strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and unauthorized access.

Conduct security patrols, monitor assigned areas, and identify potential safety or security concerns.

Protect employees, customers, visitors, and client property.

Respond to disturbances, emergencies, suspicious activity, and security-related incidents.

Enforce client policies, site procedures, and applicable laws within the officer's legal authority.

Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques whenever appropriate.

Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

Maintain assigned firearms, uniforms, and security equipment in accordance with company policies.

Follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and company use-of-force policies.

Qualifications

Must meet all applicable Colorado and local armed security licensing requirements.

Must be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm while performing assigned duties.

Must successfully complete required firearms qualifications and company training.

Strong communication, observation, and report-writing skills.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.

Previous military, law enforcement, or private security experience is preferred but not required.
