Who We're Looking For

Codeworks is seeking a Software Developer with strong full-stack .NET experience and a passion for leveraging modern technologies, including AI-assisted development practices, to build innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative development team in Madison, Wisconsin, supporting a wide variety of projects ranging from greenfield application development to modernization and lifecycle enhancement initiatives.

This position offers the chance to work across multiple technologies and business initiatives, including API development, user interface development, backend processing applications, cloud solutions, and automation-focused projects. What You'll Do

• Develop, enhance, and support full-stack applications in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Design and build APIs, web applications, backend services, and automated processing solutions.
• Collaborate closely with teammates through pair programming, code reviews, and agile development practices.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Troubleshoot complex application and data issues across multiple systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to reduce recurring manual work.
• Contribute to greenfield development projects as well as application modernization efforts.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools and techniques to improve productivity and code quality.

Required Qualifications

• Full-stack .NET development experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience developing and consuming web services and APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

The base range for this contract position is $50.00-$70.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
